this is hilarious im supposed to be walking to holland v now to go to bk and do my work.
but upon further probing into my new laptop, i realised that i can sneak into my neighbour's internet wireless connection. the catch is that she can possibly see everything im doing now but i dont really give a shit. have pity on this poor child! im the 16 yrs old living in a generation of computers and the internet and i only go onine once a week lah!
haha and the internet signal is really low too. but ah heck.
anyhow; was talking to al; and the journry really is all over.scgs got the last spot into the quarters and well..yeaps its all over babehh.
the incredible journeys i've had.
the screw ups and the successes
worse still; my worst performance was on my last debate
lol. but its all of the past and its time to look ahead to something new and a new room to discover upon entering into an unknown door; which has been kept closed and locked tight all this while.
now its time to unveil what challenges behold me.
and to bring a closure to my debating career.
i sincerely hope the juniors bring IJ to glory in the coming years and become the true successors of judith and nalli's team/
i wish them good luck and all the best!(:
and no matter what when they need me; i'll be there to help and standby
with gummy bears; goldfish snacks; hershey chocolates and standby cases(;
it feels so funny that so soon al and i will be taking over char's and van's roles.
haha the ex seniors. aka. food suppliers and extra cases.
i've loved it all and enjoyed every single bit of it,
debates itself has been something so wonderful im afraid no one can ever understand.
if no one had ever actually had the experience of debating where i have and the people i have debates with; those people can really never ever understand how much joy it has brought to me and the memories i clutch close to my heart.
i was looking at al's tabulas post and i decided that we really do think alike.
walking down memory lane and tripping over her
own shoes; whilst i trip over chair's legs and sonn being blind altogether;
i present to you the under14s team of 2004.
so what if we had never debated before; we were the freaking semi finalists man!
haha that was the result of 4 minute speachers; crap structures and stupid POIs.
PLUS truckloads worth of fun.
this was the unforgettable team; and these 2 were the people i thought were going to be the ones debate alongside me for the rest of my career. the ones who i knew were always going to be there for me; and most importantly bring laughter into a prep room (:
but i guess god had something else in plan; sonn had to leave.
leaving al and i; 2/3s of the semi-finalist team to uphold the school's rep and to continue the aims of debating in ij;
where having fun took primary roles and secondary to it was the debate itself.
if there's anything else in the world i would want to have to relive my debating career i'd seriously do it with no one else but with sonia sri and alessa pang as my team-mates.
not that char and van weren't brilliant.
but there was just this tinge between son al and me.
this magical force working amongst us and an invisible string that held and bundled us tight;
where staring at each other would immediately transmit rebuttals and cases.
we read each other minds and that just worked it all out.
the best part is that the only team we kept losing to was mr bryan chan and joel chan's team.
i would go on forever but it would really get draggy; so yes.
for al;
babe; no one in the world could ever replace you.
yeah so skeptical people are now gonna tage saying..
you say this now but 20 yrs down the road who knows where this friendship could go.
but so what! its not like i give a damn!
even if out friendship withers out in years to come.
the fact is the experiences we've shared can never be replaced.
and someday they will indefinitely resurface.
there's no other better 1st/2nd speaker that i'd rather work with than you,
haha and no one else can share my passion for papayas and having 2 older sisters like you do.
AND no one else i would rather kiss than you,
plus the fact we can really act crook haha.
but yeah; our debate careers have taken a turn and thats something we cant change.,
from being in DEPjr with you; getting into U14s semi finals and JGs 2006.
i tell you alessa pang yi ching there aint no better lady to work with than to stand by u and debate alongside.
who knows; one day; maybe our pink tshirts and us will go farrrrrr!
